Our programme is live online, booking has begun and the brochures have been delivered to the festival offices… now the fun really begins! We’re delighted to finally be able to share this year’s programme with all of you. We honestly think it’s the best one yet, and it was pretty hard keeping such a juicy secret for so long.

What you’re reading is Chapter & Verse, the brand new Manchester Literature Festival blog. In the weeks to come, we’ll be using this space to go deeper into the books, authors and ideas that figure in this year’s festival. We’ll be introducing you to our team, and explaining a bit more about the work that’s involved in making the festival happen every year. Once the festival is underway, we’ll be posting news and reviews of this year's events, many written by our team of volunteer bloggers. If you’d like to be involved, please sign up on our volunteer page soon as we’re in the process of putting the team together now.

We’d also like to extend a warm invitation to literary bloggers around the region who’d like to contribute guest posts to Chapter & Verse on themes, authors or books relevant to this year’s programme. If you’ve got a great idea for a guest post, please get in touch with me, the festival’s digital marketing overlord, at mcrlitfestblog@gmail.com. Happy reading.
