An evening of films, readings and conversation exploring the experimental work of BS Johnson, the great lost British novelist of the 1960s. BS Johnson's innovative output is undergoing a resurgence, with his influence being felt from the lyrics of Welsh indie bands to the realms of cinema and contemporary art. Join us for a celebration of his achievement. Writer and broadcaster David Quantick will consider Johnson's moving image work, including the films he made for television; artist Beatrice Gibson will discuss using his experimental novel House Mother Normal as a launching point for her film The Future's Getting Old Like The Rest Of Us; and the evening will feature an imaginative reworking of Johnson's prose in performance.
