This year’s Midland Hotel Writer in Residence is the multi-award winning novelist Linda Grant – author of When I Lived in Modern Times, We Had it So Good, and The Clothes on Their Backs. A chronicler of middle class lives lived in front of a backdrop of societal changes – the rise of fascism, the beginning of the NHS, the partition of Palestine – Linda’s work embodies the idea that the personal is political, whilst absorbing its readers in engrossing stories. Join us to hear the premiere of her newly-commissioned story inspired by her recent residency in The Midland, followed by a conversation about her writing, with host Anita Sethi.

This event is sponsored by Squire Patton Boggs.
