Award-winning writer, illustrator, and superstar creator of Clarice Bean and Ruby Redfort, Lauren Child is in town to talk about the magic of reading and writing, and to introduce her latest laugh-out-loud story. Come and hear Lauren, the current UK Children’s Laureate, talk about Hubert Horatio, an exceptionally intelligent and sensible child, and the unruly grown-ups that he has to steer through life! Lauren is one of today’s most highly-regarded writers and illustrators for children and young teenagers. Appointed Children’s Laureate in 2017, she says her mission is to get children excited about reading, and we are thrilled she is joining us for this very special event. This event is presented in partnership with Manchester Children’s Book Festival.
