THIS EVENT IS NOW FULLY BOOKED

Person or persona? In Afternoons With the Blinds Drawn – the book he said he’d never write – Suede lyricist and frontman, Brett Anderson, takes a brutally honest look at how he navigated fame and the narrative the music press were determined to impose on him. Brett considers his relationships with friends, lovers and band mates; how they impacted on him creatively, how they broke down, how they sustained him between tours and a life lived in the spotlight. He contemplates Suede’s place in the music scene of the 90’s and how the experience of fronting a successful band shaped him. Hosted by Katie Popperwell.

Doors open 7pm
