THIS EVENT IS NOW FULLY BOOKED but it is still possible to book a tour of the interactive exhibition Bear Hunt, Chocolate Cake and Bad Things here

Manchester Literature Festival and Z-Arts are delighted to announce the return of Michael Rosen, one of the UK’s best-known figures in the children’s book world. The fifth Children’s Laureate and a passionate advocate of children’s reading, Michael has published numerous poetry collections, picture books and anthologies for children including We’re Going on a Bear Hunt, This is Our House and Centrally Heated Knickers. Come and hear Michael perform some of his favourite poems at what is sure to be an unforgettable event suitable for children aged 7+ and their families.

This event ties in with the fantastic touring exhibition from Discover Story Centre, Bear Hunt, Chocolate Cake and Bad Things, visiting Z-Arts between September and December this year. Schools and families can step inside a humongous chocolate cake and explore a secret larder, swishy swashy and splash splosh your way through a Bear Hunt. Those attending the events with Michael can buy a joint ticket providing access to the exhibition too, though these tickets are limited. Find out more about the exhibition here.

There are also events for schools at 10.30am and 1.30pm that day.
