Piccadilly Poems & Abode Cream Tea Walking Tour

Explore the little-known Piccadilly basin, tucked away behind the Edwardian splendour of the Abode Hotel. You will see some of the industrial heritage of Manchester, just a short walk away and explore the lives of Mancunians past and present with a few of their poems on the way. Poets include Blake Morrison, Lemn Sissay, John Cooper Clarke and Carol-Ann Duffy. Piccadilly basin includes canals, railways and architecture old and new. You'll finish with tea and cream scones back in the luxurious surroundings of the Abode Hotel.
