Do you like films? And reading? Then Read It, Watch It, Talk About It could be just for you. This group meets monthly to watch films that have been adapted from books.

Recent screenings have included “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” and “The Wizard of Oz”, each followed by an informal discussion about what the group think of the film and how it compares to the book it has been inspired by. Group members are also able to borrow copies of each book before / after the screening so they can get a true feel of how each different story has made the transition from page to picture. Where possible the discussions and screenings also include input from the writer or screenwriter.

Sessions take place at The Factory Youth Zone in Harpurhey one Thursday a month. They are open to anyone aged 8-12 who has joined the Youth Zone and paid a 50p entry fee to the building as a whole.
