Zadie Smith launches her highly anticipated new novel NW at this special MLF trailblazer event. Depicting the modern urban zone, NW is a brilliant tragi-comedy following four Londoners as they try to make adult lives outside of Caldwell, the council estate of their childhood. From private houses to public parks, at work and at play, their London is a complicated place, as beautiful as it is brutal. Zadie Smith’s previous novels include the multi-award winning White Teeth, adapted for a Channel 4 TV series, and On Beauty, winner of the 2008 Orange Prize. She is also the author of a collection of essays, Changing My Mind and the editor of The Book of Other People. This event will be chaired by Anita Sethi.
