One of the world’s finest living short story writers presents her hotly anticipated new collection, Madame Zero. Sarah Hall is an exquisite chronicler of landscapes – rural, industrial, emotional – and these daring, uncanny tales glitter with poetic and erotic imagery. ‘These stories leave the reader unsettled, thrilled and changed. This is a marvellous piece of work,’ said Jon McGregor.

Sarah’s previous books include the novels The Carhullan Army, Haweswater, The Electric Michelangelo and The Wolf Border, as well as the acclaimed short story collection The Beautiful Indifference. Sarah’s writing has won the Edge Hill Prize, The Portico Prize and the BBC National Short Story Award. She has twice been shortlisted for The Man Booker Prize and was named one of Granta’s Best Young British Novelists in 2013. Sarah will read and discuss her work with host Katie Popperwell.
