Join us for a day of fictional fun as popular children’s authors, illustrators and performers bring words and stories to life. You can hang out in our market place at any time throughout the day where Z-arts will be providing free art and crafts and we have a special story den where we will be setting the scene for imaginations to run wild!

Mischief and Mystery in Moominvalley
Get Lost and Found Theatre take us on an unforgettable journey to Moominvalley where everyone is welcome, nature thrives and adventures are plentiful. Be sure to pack your imagination to discover this world where anything is possible. This show encompasses magical puppetry, original music and interactive play to delight younger audiences and encourage them to be part of the storytelling experience. One of the few authorised Moomins shows currently on tour, Mischief and Mystery in Moominvalley has already enjoyed sell-out runs at Southbank Centre and Kew Gardens. Expect snow, surprises and plenty of Moomin mischief.

The Tiger Who Came To Tea Party
Judith Kerr’s most famous creation is 50 years old! Come and help us celebrate at our Tiger Tea Party with stories, songs, refreshments and the chance to meet a special furry visitor who might drop in for tea. We’ll buy a big tin of Tiger Food, just in case!

Steve Antony – Please Mr Panda
Join celebrated author and illustrator Steve Antony and his lovable character, Mr Panda. Read stories together, learn to draw Mr Panda and be reminded of the importance of good manners at this interactive and entertaining event. Steve is a bestselling, multi-award-winner whose work has been adapted by the London Symphony Orchestra. His events are hugely popular, and Steve has been to every major UK book festival, as well as many internationally.

Kid Carpet – Family Gig
Celebrate the joy of song and singing in this lively, interactive and entertaining gig containing a unique mix of live music, comedy and ping pong balls. Kid Carpet will guide you through everything you need to know to be able to rock out big time! Even if it’s your first gig. Kid Carpet performs the hits from his family shows whilst simultaneously inviting you to howl like a hyena, help catch a lost sandwich in space and take part in a grand dance contest. Classic tracks from Kid Carpet include: Gorilla, Doing a Poo in the Forest and Golden Eagle. Having supported the likes of Arcade Fire, Electric 6, Willy Mason and more, Kid Carpet family shows are a gig not to be missed.
