What does the good life – and the good society – look like in the 21st century? Author, columnist and environmental activist George Monbiot returns to MLF to talk about his forthcoming book Out of the Wreckage: A New Politics for an Age of Crisis. Praised by Naomi Klein for his ‘dazzling command of science and relentless faith in people’, he suggests we can move past the anti-politics of the present by developing new narratives and providing political movements with the focus and direction required to change the world.

George writes a weekly column for the Guardian and is the author of several highly regarded books including Heat, The Age of Consent, Captive State and Feral. He recently helped to found Rewilding Britain, which seeks to redefine people’s relationship to the living world.

Hosted by Catharine Braithwaite.
