We’re delighted to have commissioned beloved children’s author, poet, playwright and librettist Michael Morpurgo to deliver this year’s Castlefield Manchester Sermon in the spectacular setting of Manchester Cathedral. Michael’s sermon will explore our ever-diminishing connection to our natural surroundings: our reliance on them, exploitation of them and our myopia to a growing crisis. Join us to hear Michael share his thoughtful, sensitive views, both through his sermon and in conversation with MLF Patron and Observer critic Rachel Cooke. Michael’s books include War Horse, Private Peaceful and Kensuke’s Kingdom.

This event is presented in partnership with Manchester Cathedral, and sponsored by Castlefield, responsible financial advice and thoughtful investment specialist with headquarters in Manchester.
