Booksleeve for Maisie Mosco's Almonds and Raisins

Booksleeve for Goulding's Magnolia Street

Louis Golding and Maisie Mosco are well-loved for their portrayals of the growing Jewish community in Manchester in the twentieth century. Both writers are consummate story-tellers, and both had their fingers on the pulse of Jewish life. Come and be entertained by readings from Golding’s Magnolia Street and Mosco’s Almonds and Raisins, and discuss both Jewish Manchester and the role of family sagas in relating social history. This event takes place in the atmospheric surroundings of Manchester Jewish Museum – the best possible setting for some Jewish nostalgia – and will be hosted by author Sherry Ashworth.
