Headshot of poet Testament

Unfortunately, due to concerns about coronavirus we are having to postpone this event until the autumn. More details will follow in due course.

Manchester Literature Festival have been thrilled to run an exciting new project for young Manchester artists aged 12 – 16yrs. Re(verb) brings together twenty young people to create brand new music with the theme 'change' and draws on their own personal experiences as inspiration.

Meeting over 6 weeks, the project has been led by Testament, a Hip-Hop MC, poet, theatre maker and world record-breaking human beatboxer, and Balraj Samrai, Producer and Educator from Manchester’s award-winning Swing Ting party and record label. You are invited to celebrate the project with a free energetic and empowering show which will present a diverse range of music from the young people exploring social, political and environmental issues. The show will be introduced by Testament. Come and be inspired by the future!

Re(verb) is FREE and open to everyone aged 10+. Please note under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult and proof of age may be requested for people aged 16+
