Colourful book sleeve for Rumble in The JungleRumble in The Jungle

There's a Rumble in the Jungle is an interactive concert for families with young children aged around 3 – 7, composed by the Hallé's Education Director Steve Pickett. Based on the popular children's book, 'Rumble in the Jungle', the concerts will use descriptive rhymes from the book to introduce children to the instruments of the orchestra in a fun and exciting way. During There's a Rumble in the Jungle you will see 15 Hallé musicians perform as you’ve never seen them before. In addition to playing their instruments, they will recite poetry, act, sing and dance! The audience will also get involved with the 'Jungle Riff' using body percussion and percussion instruments to create a rainstorm. The performance will finish with everybody taking part in a samba dance!

Look out for the furry jungle animals being let loose from Manchester Museum's taxidermy collection and enhance your jungle experience with the jungle fragrance being provided by Hallé Sponsors PZ Cussons, especially from their Rainforest range! Based on the book 'Rumble in the Jungle' by Giles Andreae and David Wojtowycz, used with the kind permission of Purple Enterprises Limited. Presented in association with Orchard Books, Manchester Museum and PZ Cussons, there will be additional performances on Monday 21st October. Suitable for ages 3+.
