Our Young People’s Steering Group sits alongside Manchester Literature Festival’s Board of Trustees and helps to ensure that MLF’s programming and artist development activities are relevant to and meet the needs of young people.

Becoming an MLF Young People’s Steering Group member will give you the opportunity to develop skills and experience in the arts, make new friends, get your voice heard, advocate for other young people and help shape events and projects.

The Steering Group is made up of 15-25 year-olds from a diverse range of backgrounds. The group have recently been working on strategies to engage more young people in MLF events and activities, exploring the barriers they may face and what projects and events they would like to see in the future.
