Join us for lively readings and a discussion between two of the UK’s freshest voices. Emma Jane Unsworth’s stylish debut novel about a food critic, Hungry, The Stars and Everything, is a witty and romantic exploration of love, longing and not getting what you want. She is a columnist for The Big Issue in the North and her short fiction has been published by Comma, Two Ravens, Redbeck and Prospect Magazine. In John Niven’s The Second Coming, Christ is reborn as a struggling musician in New York, helping people as best he can and teaching the one true commandment: Be Nice! In trying to reach hearts and minds through a TV talent contest, he meets his match in the form of record executive Steven Stelfox. John Niven spent ten years working in the UK music industry and is the author of the novels Kill Your Friends and The Amateurs.
