Join us for a journey into the strange and surreal landscape of Twin Peaks in a special event hosted by MLF's Kate Feld. Tickets include a complimentary donut.

Manchester Literature Festival and Waterstones are delighted to present an evening with Mark Frost, co-creator and executive producer of Twin Peaks. Based in Los Angeles and upstate New York, Mark is an award-winning writer and novelist whose credits include Hill Street Blues and The Greatest Game Ever Played. Over the last few years, Mark and co-creator and director David Lynch have been secretly plotting and writing the continuing story of Twin Peaks. Set to air on Showtime in May 2017, the return of the cult television series – that first aired in 1990 and drew 34 million viewers in the United States alone – looks set to be one of the most eagerly anticipated cultural highlights of the year.

In the meantime, we're excited to welcome Mark to discuss his novel, The Secret History of Twin Peaks. Using journals, court records, coroner reports, newspaper clippings, letters, tape transcripts and other 'classified' materials from a mysterious dossier, Mark meticulously weaves together real historical events with the imagined world of the show. An ambitious and multi-layered novel, The Secret History of Twin Peaks enlarges the world of the original series, brings the characters we know and love back to rich and fuller life and prepares us for what they, and we, will all be facing in the series to come.

Doors open at 7.15pm and the event starts at 8pm. Donuts will be available in the Lobby on arrival only.

Ticket holders for the original event on Monday 14th November 2016 can swap tickets for the new date and venue. Please contact Quaytickets on 0843 208 0500 or email them at customerservices@quaytickets.com
