‘Is this the beginning of the end? Or the end of the beginning? How many women like me are changing like this, all at once, from a butterfly into a caterpillar?’ Through their latest books, Quilt on Fire: The Messy Magic of Friends, Sex & Love and What’s Wrong With Me? Christie Watson and Lorraine Candy make smart, funny, relatable contributions to the growing conversation about women and midlife. How do we navigate perimenopause, parenting and friendships with brain fog, sleepless nights and changing brains and bodies? Hear these two friends and fabulous women share their experiences and feel less alone in navigating yours.

Christie Watson is the author of the bestseller The Language of Kindness, a critically acclaimed book about nursing and our need for compassion. She won the Costa First Novel award for her debut, Tiny Sunbirds Far Away. She was a nurse for 20 years and is now Professor of Medical Humanities at the University of East Anglia.

Lorraine Candy is an award-winning journalist, formerly editor-in-chief of Sunday Times Style, ELLE and Cosmopolitan. She is the co-host of the podcast Postcards from Midlife, which features the stories of spirited midlife women and tackles parenting adolescents. Supported by Sofas & Stuff.
