Donate to MLF
Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, Manchester Literature Festival was forced to cancel live events for the past eighteen months and the consequent loss of box office income has left us in a very precarious position. We need your support to help us survive the ongoing challenges of bouncing back from the pandemic and enable us to continue our valuable work: showcasing amazing and diverse writers from across the globe; commissioning new work from emerging and established writers; platforming writers in translation; and producing the great storytelling sessions and young creatives projects we run to inspire and upskill children and young people from some of the poorest communities in Greater Manchester.
We appreciate that not everyone has cash to spare, but if you can afford to make a donation, however big or small, it will really help the Festival to survive and thrive. You can make a regular or one-off donation through our CAF Donation page by following this link: Donate to MLF
As we negotiate our way through the ‘new normal’ we need access to great literature more than ever, to help us make sense of our rapidly changing environment; and provide temporary escape routes from it. MLF is currently exploring new ways to bring writers and audiences together to celebrate the power of the imagination, and improve access to inspirational literature from diverse voices.
We really appreciate the ongoing support of our public funders, Arts Council England, GMCA and Manchester City Council but we cannot survive on public subsidy alone.
