Yanis Varoufakis in Conversation
Is Capitalism dead? Yanis Varoufakis is here to convince you that it is and that it’s been replaced by technofeudalism. In his boldest book yet, Technofeudalism: What Killed Capitalism, bestselling economist Yanis draws on stories from Greek myth to pop culture, from Homer to Mad Men, to explain this game-changing transformation and how it holds the key to understanding our times. A passionate and informative speaker, Yanis will guide us through the story of the power that’s changing our lives.
Yanis became world-famous as the Finance Minister of Greece. He is the author of several books including Talking to My Daughter and Adults in the Room: My Battle with Europe’s Deep Establishment. He is currently Professor of Economics at the University of Greece.
Unfortunately Katy Shaw is not longer able to host this event due to illness but we are delighted to announce that Yanis will now be in conversation with Vivienne Nunis, Lead Presenter with the BBC World Service.
